Description

Hello - currently there are stop signs on Altamont Ave at its intersection with W Leigh St. Due to car accidents (both completed and near misses) in this intersection becoming more frequent, we believe it needs to be a 4-way stop with two stop signs posted on each direction on W Leigh St. There are a lot of pedestrians in this area - this will keep them safer!

    All all-way stop installations must meet the criteria in the MUTCD. This intersection does not meet that criteria. DPW will replace the two stop signs due to age. Also, we will install three No Parking corner clearance signs and replace one existing No Parking corner clearance sign.
