Description
RE: Ms King, 507 Arnold Ave, 447-4197 / RVA311#-%049005 Sam has escalated a case to me that has not loaded into Cityworks just yet, but this request has been on our systems since March 2018. This particular case may involve an elderly/disabled (ADA) citizen because there is a wheel chair ramp on the front of this home. Our customer reports the tree is now leaning over more and more and asks for the tree to be removed. Can your team communicate with Ms. King? Thanks so much in advance!

- Staff · September 27, 2019Janine Lester met with Ms. King on August 28, 2019 and sent an email at 9:57AM that morning to Sharon North, cc’ing myself and John Chupek, that reads as follows: “I just finished meeting with Ms.King. I assessed two trees in front of her home at 507 Arnold Av. The following summarizes my findings and recommendations: 33” oak #28286- prune for deadwood and monitor for decline. Numerous large diameter pruning wounds a contributing factor. 32” oak #28287- remove, significant crown dieback, poor structure, large diameter deadwood and insects feeding on fermenting exudate. Sam, no OHU involvement, numbers gathered for your convenience. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance. Regards, Janine “ Because of the size of these trees I currently have them on a contractor pruning and contractor removal list, respectively. I’m not sure if a specific timeframe for the work was conveyed to Ms. King by Janine, but I will see what I can find out. I will reach out to Ms. King as well. Thanks, Sam Lilly City Arborist
