Description

Does the city do anything to prevent mosquitoes? For the last several years we have felt like we live the first settlement at Jamestown. I have seen in person Henrico and Chesterfield spraying ditches culverts and city maintained easements to prevent mosquitoes. This is a public safety concern with many diseases associated with these insects and it appears that Mosquito's populate around poorly maintained storm drains, cluttered alleyways, poorly maintained city easements etc. I know we are getting into the colder months but could we as a city be prepared for next year? it really has become unreasonable. vacant lot and culvert at 304 west 26th street behind us is poorly kept/maintained and funnels the natural spring coming from Carter Jones Park. please help
