Description
The brick sidewalk along the 700 block of South Pine Street has become very unsafe secondary to the effect of tree roots lifting many of the bricks. In many areas, the bricks have been removed from the sidewalk in an attempt to decrease the variation in the surface of the sidewalk. The variation in the surface of the sidewalk makes it very difficult for a wheelchair, walker or other devices to move smoothly on the sidewalk, and increases the risk of personal injury to residents and visitors.
