Description
Good Afternoon. I'm the PIO with VCU Police and a VCU Medical Center patient has reported a safety concern for a sidewalk along East Broad Street. The patient's husband recently tripped on the sidewalk outside of the building at 1200 East Broad Street. Apparently there is pink caulking in the brick sidewalk (possibly near a grate) that has deteriorated by 2 inches, making it a tripping hazard. She has also witnessed others trip in this area. A repair would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If there are any issues with sidewalk grates or vaults, the owner of the property adjacent to and underneath the sidewalk is responsible for maintaining the grates or vaults.
