Description
This is a problem that has been persisting for years. And sadly there is an elementary school bus stop that is at this exact location. First, the Sewer Drain cover was angled due to tree root. It was an awfully steep angle that the drain cover was sitting at and therefore exposed a pretty substantial gap into the drain. Very unsafe. The cities immediate remedy was an orange cone. We kept calling, continued to log tickets in 311, but no remedy. It has taken the city well over five years to complete the following things: 1) Assess the problem (5+ years ago). Tree removed (1+ year ago). And finally have the angled sewer drain removed (earlier this year). Only they didn't replace it with a new drain cover; there is a plastic material covering the hole that is very easily moveable. Probably even more unsafe than before...but, I guess b/c there are multiple orange cones sitting on it, it's safe? Cones that have been sitting in front of our house for over 5 years. Which leads me to my question: When will the drain cover be properly replaced? Again a reminder, there is an elementary school bus stop at this exact location...Thank you.
