Description
There is a significant longitudinal depression running along the centerline of the road on our block, consistent with a failing sewer pipe and subsurface void formation beneath the pavement. The depression spans ~200 feet and shows evidence of severe asphalt cracking, surface heaving, and standing water pooling in the low points. The pattern and alignment strongly suggest the sewer main beneath the road is failing, causing the road surface above it to subside. This poses a safety hazard to vehicles and pedestrians and likely requires excavation and pipe inspection/replacement. Photos attached.
