Description
The intersection at Byrd and S. 7th near I-95 sees frequent crashes due to poor visibility as cars exit the expressway. Adding a yield light could improve driver awareness, while a ramp signal system could help regulate traffic. Ramp meters use red and green lights to release cars in small groups, easing congestion and reducing collisions. Operating with real-time sensors, they improve safety, traffic flow, and travel times.
