Description
Hi! My last 311 ticket on this same issue was closed as completed. Unfortunately the sections that were sinking were just paved over and in the description for this type of report it states "Often a Sinkhole is caused by a larger infrastructure issue." SO, I am reporting again as they have reappeared in less than 20 days from being paved over AND there are more depressions and cracks in the old asphalt. Our hope is someone can investigate why this keeps happening and actually solve the underlying issue instead of just paving over the depressions consistently. We'd really appreciate not having to report this again, and more importantly, not experiencing damage to our vehicles. A few images taken this week are attached. Much appreciated!! Could we get an update on this please? I saw a truck with camera scope on 7/8 and a cone was placed there. Last comment was 6/25, but there's no real update. Thanks.

- Staff · July 19, 2025This location was dye tested on 7/8/2025 and was negative on the sewer. This is not a sanitary sewer issue. DPW000209814 has been opened on RVA311 so DPW can resolve the issue.
