Description
Pole holding street light was broken in half on May 5, 2025 by a fallen tree. Streetlight ended up on the ground. City Employees came to investigate as tree blocked the entire alley. They removed the part of the pole and light that was laying on the ground. In addition, the wire powering the next streetlight further south in the alley was damaged, so that light is also not working. Poles #s noted above. #3549A is the broken pole and 3549B has the light out due to damaged wire.

Comments
- Staff · June 10, 2025The broken pole is a Verizon pole not DPU Streetlights. Superintendent Frazier has been speaking with Verizon regarding the issue of the broken pole. After pole is replaced wire will be put back up and lights will be functioning again. Wire cannot be put back up until pole is replaced.
- Staff · October 15, 2025Work is complete, duplex feed missing that connects to pole and light is broken due to tree that fell. We replaced the pole per agreement with Verizon. Work done by MF/CH/JT/KJ/JB/MW on 9/3/25
