Description
DPW-Citizen states that he was transfer to DPU Original SR DPU27595, and someone told him that he was transferred to the wrong dept it should be DPW. An opening in the asphalt has appeared in the WB curb lane. It is not a pothole, as there is a visible void under the pavement. This appears to be a continuation of the erosion under the pavement in the EB lanes. I reported that erosion previously and the response was 'its a pothole that we will backfill'. That was within 6 months of Grove being repaved, and the Excavation Restoration Manual for the City says that the asphalt in that area should have been removed, and the issue under the asphalt be remediated. This was confirmed by the author of that Manual. The asphalt in the EB lanes continues to collapse, clearly in line with the storm sewer. This issue along with the large puddle that forms after any rainfall, at the same address, has existed for too long. I report it regularly and usually get a call from whomever is sent out. They acknowledge the issue, but nothing comes of it. Please escalate this to the Director, so these issues can be addressed.

- System · October 29, 2024The original SR DPU000027595, when speaking with the citizen this morning he stated that when he did the citizen portal SR#DPU27595 citizen has been calling about this sink hole issue since July 18, 2024. So, when he called this morning 10/19/2024 and wanted to speak with someone at DPU, the COR sent someone out there, and the technician stated this request belongs to DPW. I did a SR for the citizen and when I did instead of SR being DPW it is defaulting to DPU 28615 again, it may be a glitch in the system. Please reach back out to citizen ASAP.
