Description

This is a request to add a left turn light w/a timed interval to the existing light. Traffic usually backs up in the left lane turning left & some are waiting to go straight too. Then there can be cars ahead stopped at the light of the next intersection (Cowardin Ave.). For drivers going straight in the right lane, they have to gauge which way the cars in the left lane are going & then try to get over into the left lane because the right lane turns into a turning one.

Dear Citizen, Thank you for sharing your concern with us. We have reviewed the traffic conditions and, although the overall Level of Service (LOS) is currently rated A, we understand the concerns regarding left-turn lane backups and driver confusion. We will evaluate the feasibility of adding a left turn signal and consider timing adjustments to improve traffic flow and safety. Any approved changes will be communicated, and implementation timelines shared accordingly. I am closing this service request for now; no further action is needed at this time.
