Description

Many pedestrians cross the street here, especially with the lovely new park. I feel unsafe crossing with my dog and child. I think a light pedestrian light for crossing, plus signage, would encourage even more people to use this great Richmond resource!

A pedestrian signal is a capital improvement and not in the adopted 2025 Capital Improvement Plan Budget. Each direction on Dock St prior to Pear St has pedestrian crossing ahead signs. The last eight full years of reported crashes from DMV (1.1.16 – 12.31.23) did not show any reported pedestrian crashes at the intersection of Dock St and Pear St. No additional measures are planned at this time.
