Description

For 20+ years I have repeatedly reported ongoing flooding to my property because the storm drain in the alley between W 45th Street and Taylor Avenue needs to be replaced. As a result of the broken storm drain, all of the water drains into my backyard and I currently have 18" of standard water. This is gross negligence on behalf of the City Of Richmond and the Department of Public Works. Alley and storm water maintenance is the responsibility of the City and the refusal to replace the storm drain to Dunston Avenue has - and continues to - cause damage to my property and garage. Absolutely nothing is being done to fix this. The City must address this repair immediately.
