See photo. This is a 7 1/4" WATER cover. This cover was recently replaced. DPU hasn't repaired the hole in the street where the cover fits (been broken for years). When a new cover is put in the broken hole, vehicles driving over it cause it to pop out of the hole. The street around the hole is littered with pieces of cast iron that were broken off from the cover. Having this jagged broken cover in the street is a danger to drivers and could easily damage tires. I recommend you recover the broken cover that's at the base of the sign in the photo and throw it in the metal recycling container at ERRCC. DO NOT replace this cover until the hole is repaired so the cover will actually stay in place. Location: Admiral Gravely Blvd / westbound lane / near entrance to alley that's very near Williamsburg Ave.
