This location has been assessed by N. Sumpter & B. Wright Engineer: Found: [N. Sumpter, Crew Chief comments]: Recommend this site be looked at by Engineer. Fence are encroaching into the drainage ditch. Operation Manager H. Glenn provided plat which confirmed N. Sumpter assessment. [B. Wright comments] This site has a variable width drainage easement of minimum with 20 feet it appears. The easement was constructed with a notch in the curb and gutter to outfall all of the drainage off site normal to lot 2901. It is very inadequate and causes flooding to occur on a regular basis. The outfall ditch is 110 feet away behind the property and is adequate to manage the flow. The problem at this location was created when the subdivision was constructed with curb and gutter and no drainage. The owner says she and her late husband have had to cleanout the ditch many times and it continues to flood and erode. RECOMMENDATION: This drainage problem needs to have a drop structure installed in the curb and gutter in the cul de sac and approximately 110 feet of pipe installed to the water course. It appears the easement is adequate to manage the improvement.
