As seen in the included photos the surrounding sidewalk deck has been lifted four to five inches and is now considerably askew compared to the nearby sidewalk. the cause for the issue is the nearby tree's roots. The roots have also infiltrated the storm inlet inner structure to include completely blocking the mouth. The tap roots entering the structure are three to five inches in diameter. Due to the proximity of the tree's location to the inlet structure (less than 8') it is storm water practice to notify the Urban Forestry sector of the Department of Public Works.
