Description

Uneven flow of traffic at this intersection, four way stop does not make sense. Leads to very big backups during rush hour. Should be replaced by a traffic light.

    Just an update: We have been periodically monitoring this intersection for conflicts and congestion over the past 18 months. We are currently awaiting updated traffic counts to conduct a signal warrant analysis and determine if a traffic signal is justified. We will keep you posted on the results once the analysis is complete.

We have completed our analysis, which involved a thorough evaluation of the traffic flow and conditions at the intersection of Idlewood Ave@ Sheppard St. Based on our findings, we will take the appropriate actions as outlined in our report to address the concerns raised. Please note that Public Works assesses requests like these as part of its long-term infrastructure planning for capital investment. Project funding has multi-year lead times and is prioritized by the Mayor and City Council. While we are closing this service request at this time, the data collected will be retained for future Capital Improvement Program funding analysis.
