Description
See photos. This stormwater opening is in lower Chimborazo Park near the small dog park. The round manhole cover w/ the cone is a good place to start walking to find the stormwater opening that has decayed over time making it unsafe (someone could fall through). When you're standing at the round manhole cover, walk straight downhill towards the railroad tracks. The stormwater cover/opening in the other photo is where the hill levels off (there's a dirt road/trail before the drop-off to the RR tracks). At least one bar has deteriorated and fallen into the hole which has created a dangerous condition. DPR looked at this problem and said it's DPU's responsibility to fix it. I can meet DPU at the park if it can't be found. DPR's Adrian Johnson (Adrian.Johnson@rva.gov) or one of his crew located the site.
