Description

alley street light was replaced recently after being non functioning for 18 years. main street light is 20 feet away. this light is unnecessary & makes it distractingly bright in our home, in our bedrooms. I would like it removed. Engineer came by. offered solution of moving light by adding a new post 20 feet further into alley. this is unacceptable. Between the street light on Marshall st & the first alley light( the one on question) is @34’. the next light is 95’+ & last one is 45’+ from that. If the one in question were to get moved it would end up being 80’+ from street light & 20’ from next light. It just needs to go. the street light is so bright that the first alley light is just a waste & a nuisance. it’s light pollution. it’s hard to relay the brightness in photos be abuse modern phones adapt to dark light but it’s REALLY BRIGHT & completely unnecessary. it’s disruptive & no amount of shading will help. take the light down & put it up by the elementary school where more light is desperately needed. especially on 29th st. Again, this light hasn’t been in use for 18+ years & no amount of time will allow my family to just get used to it. please. just remove it
