- Staff · January 27, 2024ADDO Enterprise Completed this repair due to scope of work that exceeding DPU Storm Water Maintenance ability at this time. DPU made the location safe with a VDOT approved jersey barrier. Brick Drop Inlet totally rehab & sidewalk / C & G reinforced with #4 rebar (two layers) to strength the structure. Inlet damaged likely due to heavy vehicles. Note: Concrete found washed in storm water pipe. Contractor removed excessive concrete & repaired one section on 4' x 15" concrete storm pipe by replacing with PVC pipe schedule 40 with a Fernco Coupling. Sidewalk & closed for sidewalk closed for 7 days days week to allow curing time & jersey barriers left in place for 14 days to ensure curing time due to extreme cold temp. Concrete was covered each day to assist in concrete setting up properly. Water valve found leaking onsite before demo began. Water Distribution turn off valve until repairs could be made. Wastewater Division delivery PVC pipe & Fernco. Storm Water Division retrieve existing square / rectangle casting - top for future use at another site. New casting & round top installed.
