Description

Water department cover infront of 7 n Davis Ave is chipped so bad that the cover falls inside leaving a gaping hole which I almost walked into. Very dangerous!! I reached in and grabbed the damaged cover and placed it back on but it’s only a matter of time it happens again and again.

Request forwarded to DPU Customer Service to dispatched Gas & Water Service Tech to this location to replace the water meter. Based on the comments from the citizen & GIS infrastructure map plus google maps this is not a missing manhole cover but a water meter. Urgent attention is being given to the this request. Email sent on 10/5/2022. Request closed to DPU Storm Water but open to Customer Service Gas & Water.

    D. Rivers spoke with the citizen on 10/5/2022 & advise her that her request will be closed to DPU Storm Water Utility Division & open to DPU Customer Service Division (Gas & Water). This communication wasin the event that she selected to received email responses back / tracking of the service request. Note: Ms. Siegel was visiting the City of Richmond (not) a residence & used RVA311 to create the service requested. I thanked her for taking time to report the hazard & ensure her that Gas & Water Tech will visit the site today.
