Description

The drain basin at the corner of E. Broad is insufficient in even moderately heavy rain. Water floods the intersection and flows over the Broad Street sidewalk for nearly the length of the 3000 block. That water flows under houses, between houses and into back yards. Rain that falls on the street in front of my house should not end up in my back yard or in my basement. I (and other neighbors) try to clear debris from the drain during storms, but the drain itself is clearly insufficient. I should not have to choose between risking a lightning strike and allowing my property to flood. Please note: I have reported this problem before. I am not trying to be a jerk, but this issue needs to be fixed. Please ask someone to speak to me when they visit the site so I can better explain what is happening. I've attached a video. My previous reports include more-complete videos and photos. Another note: I do not know if bricks or anything else are missing from the drain, but the online demands that I put something in those boxes.
