- Staff · October 28, 2021M The Storm Inlet at this location has been an ongoing issue. The issue of needing a cast to make this repair is the obvious however an equally important characteristic of this location is the height of thelateral in relation to the street height. The lateral is only two, possibly three inches from the top of street. Installing a cast above the junction box to serve as an access service point for the two laterals entering this structure will put the height of the installed cast higher than the street. Furthermore any traffic that may cross this access point will crush the lateral(s). The lateral on the downstream side is also deteriorating and is in need of replacement as well. This issue will bediscussed with the storm water management and engineer.
