Major Streetlight Damage on the City’s Southside There has been major damage to streetlights in the City’s Southside. The general range of the outage is from Maury Street east to I-95; Maury Street west to Holly Springs Avenue; Richmond Highway to Bellemeade Road and Hull Street to Boston Avenue. The repairs were originally estimated to take several days. Further analysis and continued troubleshooting now indicates the repairs will take longer with an estimated completion date of mid-November, barring any additional unforeseen circumstances. The power system suffered damage to multiple components (i.e., transformers, wire, fuses, lightning arresters, cutouts, LED heads, etc.). Supply chain delays for these needed replacements is a contributing factor to the repair time. During the repair period, there will be intermittent and extended outages. We appreciate the patience of those impacted as we continue working to resolve the damage.
