Description
As the new owner of this residence in Richmond, we have come to learn that our property is the dumping ground for stormwater for the houses surrounding us. The broken drainage system at the front of our property causes water from surrounding properties to flow from the front left our property to the left side of our home all the way to a small creek/stream at the back of our property. Since this issue was not fixed or addressed before we purchased this property, the dangerous and large amount of stormwater runoff has destroyed the entire yard from the left side of the house down to the stream. We have consulted with landscape professionals on what to do, and they told us that until the city repairs the drainage issue, any work that they do on the yard will be swept away by the stormwater flowing over the terrain. I ask that the city please contact me to begin the process of getting this resolved immediately. Images are not available, but I will make sure to take pictures the next time we have a storm.
