Description

Need a grate over the catch basin because folks put items/trash in the basin which causes flooding; because the rain water backs up. Caller lives on the corner and there's flooding all around her house and the foundation.

    Please note there's a catch basin in front of the address and across the street...two grates are needed.

    Citizen needs grates citizen has oil tank in ground and the water is getting in her oil. citizen the fire department came out because they was a pool of water assist her getting out so she is asking that grated be placed in front of storm drain.

    M We do not install grates over inlet structures that could be impacted by trash and debris. The grate would act as a restrictor for items that would normally be passable through the system. In other words,placing a grate would only cause more problems with flooding occurring on the street much faster because the grate would collect trash, bottles etc and flood almost instantly. The correction here is to minimize the debris and trash being discarded in city Streets
