- Staff · April 15, 2021The investigation found no smell present at the time of inspection. What was observed is the present of a high water table and bleeding ground water. The orange/rust discoloration are iron deposits/ iron oxidizing bacteria. This is harmless bacteria that’s present in some soils. the bacteria can grow into mats, or large clumps and will remain in a certain location until water washes it away or until other Environmental parameters change. The appearancelooks weird and unsightly but does not cause any disturbance, and the best thing to do is let nature take care of it. This request shall be closed to DPU being there are no assets or problems to address here.
