Location has been assessed by DPU Storm Water Utility Maintenance personnel and Engineering: Spoke with Mr. Burr onsite. Found: One Drop Inlet slot opening clogged in rear of building. Sediment build found at C & G (Curb & Gutter) in rear causing stagnate water / slow drainage. Note: Coax able already down near Drop Inlet. Solution: Clean Drop Inlet in rear (1) and (2) two drop inlet at intersection of Commerce Rd & Albany Ave. Remove sediment from C & G in rear of 501 Commerce Rd. Cut down shrubs grown at or near Drop inlet. Restore all area affected by work in ordinance with City of Richmond recommendation & standards.

M Note: Engineer determine there is no need for additional Drop Inlet to be installed at this site. Suggested to property owner to seek a permit to tie gutter downspout to curb & gutter to prevent storm water from cascading across the sidewalk / at foundation of building. Adequate drainage infrastructure exist at this site. Owner should contact DPW to assess the flowline of the curb & gutter & the roadway. Professional courtesy email sent to DPW Roadway Department from DPU Storm Water to advise of conversation with owner.
