Description
Constituent, Ms. Diane Thomas, says she contacted the city several months ago with requests to clean sewer drains. She reports there are roots in the basins causing the flooding and ultimately making her elderly mother have to walk 2 blocks home.

- Staff · February 12, 2020DPU Storm Water Personnel service inlets atthis location on 2/11/2020 spoke with citizen Ms. Thomas: Found: Inlet at 3601 Maryland Ave filled with root intrusion request replacement due to root intrusion. Immediate action: Some positive drainage was achieve by DPU Storm Water Maintenance personnel onsite by removing as much roots as possible. Information in regard to roots submitted to Engineer for replacement of basin with 100 % root intrusion forwarded. Assignment to by Annual Contractor to replace inlet is underway.
