Clean Stormwater Drain

Description

There is a one block long(between commonwealth ave and Woodlawn ave ) drainage ditch that the city is supposed to maintain. It is located one half of a block north or Cary Street Road. There is much vegetation in the ditch growing several feet high. Sludge material in drainage spillway. The city told me this is the largest drain area in the city. Drains to under commonwealth ave and runs to the river. I have contacted y’all several times over there last 8 months. I was told a “ticket” was established on 2 occasions. I haven’t seen any progress. My main concern is that another upcoming hurricane season is upon us. For any storm -this area needs to be cleaned out. My estimate is that it wouldn’t take a couple of men more than 2 hours to clear the area and remove the sludge like material. If what the city told me a few years ago was the truth (about being largest drain area ) then I would hope to see some workers here very soon. Your men always cut grass at Mary Mumford field and do an excellent job. Maybe they can help us out. Thank you in advance for your help with this.
