Description

Storm water drains along Riverside Drive - between Rattlesnake Creek and Oxford Parkway are backed up with a lot of standing water. This is affecting at least 4 homes (including ours) closest to Rattlesnake Creek. Cause is unknown. FOLLOW UP - It has been 10 days since my original request and I have not heard anything. It looks like the bulk of the water may be coming from a fire hydrant located at Oxford Pkwy and Riverside Drive, but the issue is compounded by storm water drains that are not draining through properly - ending at the Huguenot Trail Park System by Rattlesnake Creek. This is a public health safety issue and requires immediate attention. There is standing water covering a full city block and it needs to be addressed, as mosquitoes have already begun breeding with the warmer temperatures.
