- Staff · July 17, 2019Same request as CRMDPU000003870. D. Rivers spoke with citizen at this address on same day of assessment of 3431 Keighly Rd. A site visit was conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Ms. Wilson was contacted and informed on immediate action to help restore effective drainage during and after rain events. Below is a brief synopsis and attached above are photos from the field. Found: Water pooling in rear of yard after recent rain event on Tuesday, June 12, 2019. I have verified that a CIP (Capital Improvement Project) was constructed in CY 2014 – 2015 by DPU. Need to obtain as-built/plan to determine aggregate/soil median use to construct. The French drain may have become clogged over time. Positive drainage was present (see photo) drop inlet HDPE pipe connected to French Drain has flow. Howbeit flow is slow as indicated by citizen comments.(It takes 2-3 days for the water to disappear aftera rain). Action Plan: CCTV inspect the pipe to determine if there is any blockage. Scheduled for Monday, June 17, 219. Flush existing pipe after obtaining as-built & completing CCTV. Ms. Wilson will receive updates. There is a possibility the French Drain subsurface aggregate/fabric/soil will need to be redone. CCTV inspected revealed no blockages in french drain culvert. Inspection occurred at 3431 Keighly and 3429 Keighly were french drain is installed. Information has been forwarded toCIP division who contractor installed the French drain with video of inspection on DVD. At this time no relief can be given from DPU Storm Water Maintenance personnel. Citizen advised that her request is being forwarded by email to CIP personnel. Subsurface soil may be the reason for slow drainage. Request closed to maintenance personnel.
