Description
The entire pole and light is missing from front of 104 and 106 E Leigh Street, wires are exposed at base. I first reported this issue in November 2017 to the city's street light dept. An orange cone was put on the base of the missing pole the next day but now the cone is not there. It's a hazard and a safety issue. It's only a few steps from Maggie Walker's front porch.

Comments
- Staff · June 22, 2018This pole was hit by a vehicle and damaged at the base. A contractor is needed to do this repair. Cones are placed for safety; however, people steal them which is causing the area to be exposed. The cones are there as a safety precaution since DPU Streetlights does not have a plate to cover. If you have questions please feel free to contact General Supervisor Tracy Wright at 804-646-8565.
